Account resolution
About the Litigation Process
Hardline Collections uses a litigation-ready workflow. That means accounts are reviewed early for ownership, balance support, venue, limitation periods, and document readiness instead of being placed into an extended call campaign.
Initial account review and notice
Before an account is considered for suit, Hardline reviews the available data and sends required notices where applicable. Consumers may use the portal to review matched accounts, submit disputes, or resolve eligible balances.
Disputes and verification
If a consumer disputes an account, the dispute is routed for review. Collection activity is handled consistent with applicable validation and verification requirements.
Pre-suit decisioning
Accounts that remain unresolved may be evaluated for litigation. The review considers documentation, jurisdiction, age of debt, account economics, consumer protections, and whether suit is legally permitted.
If a lawsuit is filed
Court papers explain the claim and response deadlines. Consumers should read any summons carefully and may seek legal advice. If judgment is sought, recoverable costs, fees, and interest are requested only when authorized by contract, statute, court rule, or court order.
Consumer rights stay intact
You may dispute an account if you believe it is wrong, paid, not yours, the amount is incorrect, or you need verification.
Hardline does not file suit on time-barred accounts and does not represent that litigation will occur unless the account is actually eligible for legal review.
Settlement availability, payment plans, and other resolutions are account-specific and may be limited by ownership cost, documentation, and legal posture.
