Legal terms
Terms of Use
Last updated: May 17, 2026
1. Scope
These Terms of Use govern access to the Hardline Collections website, account portal, payment features, dispute tools, and related online services. By using the site or creating portal access, you agree to these terms. If these terms conflict with a right you have under federal or state law, the legal right controls.
2. Debt Collection Disclosure
Hardline Collections LLC is a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information obtained may be used for that purpose. Portal content is not legal advice and is not a substitute for a court notice, validation notice, settlement agreement, or other account-specific communication.
3. Operating Scope
Operating from Delaware. Collection activity and credit reporting operations are limited to Delaware and states marked approved/no-bond in the internal state operating matrix. State licensing, bond, registration, office, disclosure, and notice requirements are reviewed before collection activity is opened for any state. If a state requires a bond or another condition that has not been approved, collection activity for that state must remain blocked.
4. Portal Eligibility and Account Security
You may use the portal only for your own account or for an account you are legally authorized to access. You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping login credentials and emailed login codes confidential, and promptly notifying us if you believe portal access has been compromised.
5. Identity Matching and Account Information
Portal lookup may use Record ID, name, date of birth, SSN last four, ZIP code, email, phone, account reference, and related account data. A matched account does not waive your right to dispute the debt, request verification, or assert any defense. Account data may be updated as payments, disputes, corrections, or legal review occur.
6. Disputes and Requests
You may submit disputes through the portal, but you may also use other legally permitted methods. Include enough detail for us to identify the account and review the issue. Submitting a dispute does not limit any validation, credit reporting, cease communication, bankruptcy, identity theft, or other rights available under applicable law.
7. Payments
Online payments are processed by Stripe or another payment processor we may use. A payment is not final until the processor confirms it and the transaction is not reversed, charged back, returned, or otherwise invalidated. Do not submit payment information unless you are authorized to use that payment method. Payment may affect collection status, balance, and credit reporting tasks, but it does not by itself settle unrelated accounts unless a separate written agreement says so.
8. Electronic Communications
By creating portal access, you consent to receive portal-related communications electronically, including account access messages, email verification, security notices, payment receipts, and online confirmations. We accept electronic disputes at [email protected] and through the portal. You may opt out of optional electronic communications by contacting us. Some legally required notices may still be sent by mail or another method permitted by law.
9. Prohibited Use
You may not use the site to access another person's account without authority, submit false information, interfere with site security, scrape account data, upload malicious content, or use the portal for any unlawful purpose.
10. Availability and Changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any site feature. We may also update these terms. Updated terms apply when posted, except where additional notice or consent is required by law.
11. No Waiver of Consumer Rights
Nothing on this site limits rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Electronic Fund Transfer Act, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, bankruptcy law, state debt collection laws, court rules, or any other non-waivable legal protection.
